0) WLCG [DB]
-Simone stepping down in January as WLCG Lead (see email sent on Sat).
Within the RCS, Simone will lead the IT department.
PC commented this was excellent news from Simone.
This will of course mean that a new WLCG Lead will be selected before Jan.

1) LHCONE [PC]
– New policy document
Document circulated. AD had a few comments on security aspects, which have been included.
PC cautious not to change the full focus of the document.
* The document is being socialised at GridPP Ops tomorrow (30th)
Discussion on deadlines to be added for sites to engage:
-JH – Sooner rather than later is better.
Agreed the 31 March 2026 for the “aspirational” date.
Drop dead date 31 December 2026, as KE suggested March 2027 the likely date for the DC27.

 – LHCONE one pager technical document
LHCONE meeting 10th October – this document will be discussed at this meeting.
This document is in development between JISC, Lancaster and others (Gordon from Glasgow, Dan T from QMUL and Alessandra from Manchester to be added to the email chain).

2) GOCDB? [DBa]
AD had to leave the meeting
-DBa spoke through some slides (attached to minutes).
Key question is on the technical suitability of EGI’s preferred adhoc option for adding VO “support” notes to site info. (DBa contends that this is better done as an extension of the existing structured approach, as this enforces consistency)
-DBa  to send the presentation notes to DB. DB to then speak with AD and take this forward to the team to see if they have effort to look at this.

STANDING ITEMS

SI-0 Tier-1 Manager’s weekly report & Technical Meetings [AD]
AD had to leave the meeting early.
There is nothing operational from the Tier-1.
Stable running all last week (some jobs failures caused by the VOs).
There is a technical meeting on Friday on (Tier-2) procurement.

SI-1 ATLAS Weekly Review and Plans [DCos]
-software computing week took place last week. Unfortunately DCos unable to attend, but DB and RJ were in attendance.
There was discussion of the utilisation of GPU architecture on the Grid – at present, Manchester is at the top of the WLCG charts for GPU utilisation. (Other sites being used less, despite having GPUs available… to be explored.)

SI-2 CMS Weekly Review and Plans [DC, KE]
-stable running tier1
-Tape section IPV6 connection being worked on.
-CHEP – proceedings nearly ready to go.
-CMS Tape/disk/bandwidth estimates in run 4 are being prepped – we will need these from all Experiments for DC27…

SI-3 LHCb Weekly Review and Plans [AM]
-tier 1 fine
Issues LHCb side, but not tier 1 specific
-Tier 2
– Lancaster had issues with ARC7 migration + Slurm (needed to roll back to ARC6)
-Glasgow/Cern transfer issue. Still working on this – probable bandwidth limitations

-NTR all discussed above.

SI-5 LCG Management Board Report of Issues [DB]
