0)GridPP54 update [SS] and Agenda Structure [DB]
-Registration is now open. 35 registered so far.
-SS to circulate a link to the registration to the PMB group.
-George Madden will likely attend the Wednesday/Thursday sessions.
– AD got 1 response from potential sponsors from CDW. SS drafting a contract letter and will circulate to the group for input.

Agenda structure:
-discussions took place around structure.
-The group need to decide what they want to communicate with George at the meeting. Perhaps focus most important discussions with George for the Wednesday in case of any change in plans.
– DB to look at the data SS is currently collecting (site survey forms) in the next week or 2. DB needs this to plan for tier 2 infrastructure for the next 2 years.
– could also look at other funding opportunities which is mentioned below.
-looking at site security, perhaps a discussion for the Friday.
– Normally there is also an experiment talk somewhere.  (GridPP support for IRIS – PC said this could be a topic.). Could include a lot of VO that use it directly or indirectly, including SHIP.

DB going to keep thinking about this and get back to SS soon.

IAM, APEL, XrootD were the 3 things highlighted.

STANDING ITEMS

SI-0 Tier-1 Manager’s weekly report & Technical Meetings [AD]
1. TS1170 – notes on the facilities side, 4 out of 5 of these tapes have shown failures. Current theory there is a problem with a Tape drive. Still under investigation.
Paused repacking of tier 1 tape. We have done a check on 20 tapes that have been repacked. So far showing no errors here.
2.Transfer failures – between Glasgow and RAL. XrootD issue, appears to be related to certain options (SciTags) making slightly unreliable network connections much less reliable for transfers, so this can affect other links with less than 100% network reliability.
Discussion around this. This has been taking place for a couple of months, so it is being looked into.
