RAL Tier1 Production Team Report for 5th October 2009.

AoD This Week

Mon/Tue: John Wed: Jonathan Wed-Fri: Gareth

Last Week

  • All: Attended castor training. Shared AoD Wed.
  • Gareth: AoD (2 days), More preparations for HEP SYSMAN, discussions on disk intervention procedures, change management.
  • John: Learning/documenttaion of operatyion on batch farm, help investigate LSF problem, installing 2nd RAID cards into disk servers, log scans for security incident. Quattor training.
  • Tiju: AoD (2 days), Quattor training, L&D (ran a grid job!)

Changes to Operating procedures

  • Nagios change: nincom replaced by nagger.

Declared Outages in GOC DB

  • 05-Oct: Update LHCb 3D database to 64-bit.
  • 05-Oct: SRM updates for CMS, LHCb and GEN.
  • 06-Oct: database restart to fix crashing system/voting node problem.

  • More Alarm ticket tests this week.
