GridPP Cloud Status Report 18th December 2012
The Force10 switch has been configured, with a 10 Gig uplink to the outside world.
The C6220 controller node is running CentOS 6.3, with the OpenStack Folsom packages from EPEL 6. Initial tests have comprised creation of new instances by Condor, analagous to the glideinWMS work ongoing on the CMS HLT farm. A bug in Condor means that the development version 7.9.2 or the as yet unreleased stable version 7.8.7 needs to be used.
Following the procedures used by CERN IT's Agile Infrastructure project, a VM with Puppet and Foreman is in testing for the provisioning and configuration of compute nodes. Once this is available, more compute nodes will be created.
