GLite File Transfer Service Client

The client components of the EGEE File Transfer Service are released through LCG, from 2.5.0 onwards.
The client RPMs are glite-data-transfer-cli (command line interface) and glite-data-transfer-api for applications calling FTS directly (there are number of other EGEE RPMs which you will get as dependencies). These RPMs will be installed by default on worker nodes and user interfaces.
Information System
Ultimately FTS servers should publish information about end points and channels to the BDII, where they can be looked up dynamically. However at the moment this is not done, so service information is stored statically in /opt/glite/etc/services.xml.
In particular, for UK Tier 2s, configure your FTS client to see the RAL end point.
