CAM Tier2

The Cambridge Tier 2 is hosted and managed by the Hight Energy Physics Department at the Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge.

We currently run the following services in gLite/LCG:

  • Compute Element – ce.hep.phy.cam.ac.uk
  • Worker Nodes
    • 44 Dual-core dual-CPU 2.66GHz Xeon 5150 / 4GB memory per node
    • 10 Dual-CPU 2.80GHz Xeon / 2GB memory per node
  • R-GMA Mon Box/Local LFC – mon.hep.phy.cam.ac.uk
  • DPM Storage Element
    • se.hep.phy.cam.ac.uk - Storage Element and DPM Head node
    • disk01.hep.phy.cam.ac.uk - DPM Disk Server, ~7.5TB usable storage
    • disk02.hep.phy.cam.ac.uk - DPM Disk Server, ~7.5TB usable storage
    • disk03.hep.phy.cam.ac.uk - DPM Disk Server, ~7.5TB usable storage
    • disk04.hep.phy.cam.ac.uk - DPM Disk Server, ~7.5TB usable storage
    • disk05.hep.phy.cam.ac.uk - DPM Disk Server, ~7.5TB usable storage
  • User Interface – ui.hep.phy.cam.ac.uk
