− | '''Monday 14th August 2017, 15.30 BST'''<br />
| |
− | 23 Open tickets this week.
| |
| | | |
− | Very few issues stand out this week:<br />
| |
− | The Oxford HTTP ticket ([https://ggus.eu/?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=129931 129931]) and the Birmingham ticket ([https://ggus.eu/?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=129930 129930]) do look very similar, and both issues persist despite work on them.
| |
− |
| |
− | The Imperial LHCB transfer ticket to SARA ([https://ggus.eu/?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=129946 129946]) looks indeed to be as Simon thought a networking issue - possibly IPv6/LHCONE related. Interesting stuff, although probably not relevant to all.
| |
− |
| |
− | Finally there some movement on the Storage Accounting tickets, John has asked Lancaster ([https://ggus.eu/?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=129183 129183]) to trailblaze a bit but we hit some snags.

Tuesday 22nd August
A reminder that there is a weekly Tier-1 experiment liaison meeting. Notes from the last meeting here
- The CVMFS Stratum-1 service (a 2-node High-Availability cluster) is now dual stack with IPv6.
- All the 2015 capacity storage is now in Echo. As a result Echo now has around 13.4Petabytes of space raw. This gives approximately 10PBytes of usable space. Work is ongoing for Echo (CEPH) to re-balance its existing data across all the storage. This will take around three weeks in total. After that is completed the additional capacity can be used by the VOs.

- This includes notifying of (inter)national services that will have an outage in the coming weeks or will be impacted by work elsewhere. (Cross-check the Tier-1 update).
Tuesday 4th July
- Pete C is preparing another networking forward look document. Note that figures presented in the Manchester workshop were for a Tier-2 (not always a single site).
Tuesday 6th June
- An update from the DIRAC workshop? GridPP is still the only true multi-VO instance, so we will continue to see issues with this. release quality of dirac has improved within the past year. gfal2/EL7 problems seem to be coming to an end after being cooped up with all authors for 3 days on end. The Imperial GridPP module now has integrated testing. It was also noted that every dirac instance has it's own special module to adapt to their community on top of main dira. We are trying to push as much of out special functionality back into the main dirac branch.
Tuesday 25th April
- perfSONAR version 4 was released on 17th April. Sites with auto-update on should have been automatically upgraded. Note perfSONAR 4.0 requires more CPU than previous versions as a result of some of the increased functionality. Full details here
