Due to the Bank Holiday no proper look at the tickets this week, just the obligatory [http://tinyurl.com/nwgrnys link to all the UK tickets.]

Raul pointed me to a CMS ticket, [https://ggus.eu/index.php?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=134763 134763], that might be of interest to sites running condor and moving to IPv6. The problem was worked around rather then solved (disabling IPv6 in the CMS condor instances).

Another ticket that caught my eye were the RALPP ticket [https://ggus.eu/?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=134899 134899], which is still just assigned but I believe the issue is already solved.

Tier-2 Evolution - GridPP JIRA

Tuesday 8th May

  • Updated the instructions in the wiki about supporting GridPP DIRAC Service VOs at Vac sites. This makes use of the multipart vacuum pipes in Vac 3.0, which allow the definitions of multiple VMs to be obtained from a single JSON file: https://www.gridpp.ac.uk/wiki/Vac_configuration_for_GridPP_DIRAC (The same mechanism will work in Vcycle 1.0)

Tuesday 10 Apr

  • Vac 3.0 and Vcycle 1.0 released: see GridPP40 talk for details. In particular, it is now possible to add all the GridPP DIRAC VOs to a Vac or Vcycle site with three lines of configuration.

Tuesday 3 Apr

  • Vac 02.00.03 released with a workaround for CernVM bug CVM-1501, which is due to a bug in Cloud Init 0.7.5 which CernVM 3 has used since Thursday of last week. VM creation fails due to malformed EC2 meta-data URLs.

  • There were a couple of alarms which showed up on the dashboard, but not on the corresponding nagios.
  • DB got fed up with Imperial failing the job-cancel test for CREAM -- the CE is just busy and returns the cancelled state about 30 s after the test 'fails' -- so she filed a ticket questioning the usefulness of the test: https://ggus.eu/?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=133004.

Monday 20th November

  • Generally quiet. There are three outstanding tickets: low availability at Birmingham, one at Liverpool which might just have gone green, and out-of-date IGTF CAs at Sheffield.
