Operations News

  • Renaming has finished on ATLAS. A few thousand out of 17m files were found to be lost.
  • Elastic logging turned back on with UDP on Gen instance. We plan to enable it on the other production instances too.
  • New tape pools setup for ATLAS
  • aliceTape diskpool has been merged into genTape
  • xrootd manager has been configured for all small VOs on cgenlsf.

Operations Problems

  • (Tue) Misconfiguration on tnsnames.ora brought down ATLAS for 17 minutes while doing the tapepool changes.
