Briefly, the DPM YAIM will attempt to write to ~edginfo. If this user's home directory is on nfs with root_squash this will probably fail.

If this is the case then copy the host's Grid Certificate by hand into ~edginfo/.globus and modify it to be a user certificate (i.e., replace host* with user*).
The DPM configuration file is written to ${INSTALL_ROOT}/lcg/etc/DPMCONFIG, which should work in all but the most exotic cases.
