MICE - the Muon Ionization Cooling Experiment
The international Muon Ionization Cooling Experiment (MICE) will demonstrate the feasibility of ionization cooling of muon beams. This can be considered as one of the major technological jumps needed towards the development of a "neutrino factory".
MICE is located at the ISIS synchrotron at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. For more information see
MICE is one of the GridPP_approved_VOs and uses the GridPP VOMS server and RAL_Tier1 LFC and CASTOR, as well as storage and CPU resources around the Grid.
