I believe that by tidying up a few loose ends we can have a system that is actually useful for tests and demonstrations at least. To get things started, here is a list of items which I know need doing...further suggestions are welcome. For some I've identified some usual suspects, but this is now probably a good opportunity for further people to get involved. It would be nice if we could try to complete this list before the next technical meeting (26th June). 1) Common Grid mapfiles. The simplest thing would appear to prepare flatfile containing the subjects of all users to which UK certs have been issued and use this to dervive the mapfiles. (Andrew Sansum?) 2) Info infrastructure. Collect and add other sites. In parallel deploy development LDAP infrastructure (aim to have cacheing and be more robust) (AJM) 3) Distribution. Release "development" distribution kit, including Patched Globus, gsi patched openssh (Andrew McNab) 4) Produce standardize batch system (pbs?) 5) Investigate simple status monitoring tools/ demo applications 6) Seek volunteers who want to run "physics jobs" cheers, Alex -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | | Dr. Alex Martin | | Physics Department, | | e-Mail: a.j.martin@qmw.ac.uk Queen Mary, University of London, | | Phone : +44-(0)20-7882-5033 Mile End Road, | | Fax : +44-(0)20-8981-9465 London, UK E1 4NS | | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
