You will need to keep an eye on your site/resources these are various tools for doing that:

List of Grid monitoring pages on the GridPP wiki
Nagios is the most commonly tool used for local resource monitoring.

For information on areas that you should be watching this page on the Wiki was some intial suggestions.

There is a Grid Service Monitoring Working Group who manage various monitoring tools information on them can be found here.
