Role of the User Board Chair and Deputy

The Role of the User Board (UB) Chair, assisted by the Deputy, is to:

1. ensure that the GridPP project remains science driven and that the project develops to meet the needs of the UK Particle Physics community.

2. provide overall liaison between the UB and the Deployment Board (DB) and the UB and the Project Management Board (PMB).

3. determine the common view of the Experiments, and represent it to the PMB and other bodies. In particular to ensure the experiments view determines major hardware purchases, and the sharing and scheduling of such resources at the Tier 1/A and Tier 2 centres.

4. organise and convene regular UB meetings.
