GridPP Documentation Officer Role

The documentation officer has overall responsibility for all aspects of technical documentation for GridPP.

The role of Documentation Officer is to:

1. initiate and lead all documentation activities within GridPP2;

2. be an ex-officio member of the PMB;

3. promote the use of the Grid by providing technical documentation in response to the needs of the UK Particle Physics Grid;

4. develop/deploy appropriate documentation tools, technical links and contacts;

5. in particular, liaise with EIS/GGUS activity in EGEE;

6. oversee the overall design of the GridPP technical documentation and ensure that content is up to date and relevant;

7. present developments at the GridPP Collaboration meetings and elsewhere;

8. represent GridPP and its interests in wider documentation development within EGEE and elsewhere;

9. ensure the timely release of documentation and inform GridPP of developments via the UKHEPGRID mailing list;

10. maintain up to date lists of the latest non-GridPP developed documentation;

11. ensure that the GridPP PMB and other management boards are fully aware of documentation issues and ongoing efforts elsewhere;

12. act upon requests for help with technical documentatio from all members of GridPP or external bodies;

13. establish and encourage participation in best practice w.r.t. technical documentation;

14. report to the Project Manager on matters relating to any project deliverables and milestones defined within his or her purview.
