15 December 2004 meeting agenda
---------------------------------------------
-- Sites situation
* New and old hardware
* Software upgrades: LCG2_3_0 can work both on RH7.3 and SL3 the latter
is obviously a major upgrade and experiment software is not yet
compatible with it but since there will be soon new hardware in
sheffield and lancaster I'd like to know what's their plan. This is
also connected with the Release policy point below.
* New posts
-- Release policy
* the deployment team is discussing the possibility of having a uk
release policy to syncronise sites with the software upgrade so that
there are not too many differences. Clearly there are 3 conditional
points: manpower, experiment needs and importance of the release.
London sites have come up with a proposal that you can find below and
comment upon. London Tier2 release policy proposal
-- Deployment Issues
* I would like to hear from your experience and problems in particular
since you are non dedicated staff.
-- Remote access for maintainance
* I'd like to discuss the possibility of it, in the case the main local
responsible is not available.
* Access to GOC database as above.
* If access is granted, who should have it.
-- Storage and storage software
* What type of hardware do you have and do you have any plan about
how to use it.
