Resolving the New Year
Wed 10 Jan 2007
To start 2007, we asked members of GridPP's Project Management Board about their New Year's resolutions. These are the answers we got. It appears that not all of them should be taken seriously....
Tony Doyle, Project Leader
In the first year of Grid-based data-taking we're bound to find some
things don't work as planned, so we'd best have a Disaster Recovery
Plan. GridPP's DRP goes something like the Dilbert cartoon on this page.

Steve Lloyd, Collaboration Board Chair
My New Year's resolution is not to drink alcohol at collaboration meetings. It should last until 19 March, which will
be longer than most resolutions.
Dave Britton, Project manager
I resolve to ensure that quarterly reporting is done... quarterly.
Jeremy Coles, Production Manager
Not to check my email between Christmas and the New Year!
Pete Clarke, GGF and Networking Liaison
I resolve to do some physics during 2007.
Roger Jones, Applications Co-ordinator
I don't make New Year's resolutions. My birthday is on 2 January, so any resolution I make is guaranteed to be
broken within 2 days.
Stephen Burke, Documentation Officer
My resolution is to spend less time replying to emails ... oops!
The request went out in an email between Christmas and New Year, which explains some of the replies...Happy New Year to you all.
