Supported Particle Physics Experiments
Other than the 4 LHC experiments GridPP is actively helping the wider particle physics community.
Currently this includes
- BaBar
BaBar was an experiment that ran at the PEP-II accelerator at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. It finished running in 2008 but you can find some information about GridPP's involvement on this page. - CLIC
The Compact LInear Collider (CLIC) team are investigating the potential of a new kind of particle accelerator and to help them they are simulating their designs using grid resources, with GridPP being a major contributor. You can find more information about this in the news item on this. - CDF
CDF was one of the detectors based at the Tevatron in the U.S. It finished operation in 2011, GridPP involvement in Run II can be found on this page - D0

H1 was a particle experiment using the HERA accelerator at the German lab DESY it shutdown in 2007 but the collaboration still use grid resources to analyse some of the data from the experiment. - MICE
The Muon Ionization Cooling Experiment (MICE) is a collaboration of particle physicists and accelerator physicists building a key element of a new type of physics experiment, a neutrino factory, and they are using the Grid to understand it. NA62 experiment is a proposed experiment at CERN using the SPS. It aims to investigate the decays of the charged kaon. The are currently working with GridPP to run simulations and, in the future, anaylse real data from. - SuperB
SuperB is a future experiment that will study the elemental changes which can occur at sub-atomic levels. They are using GridPP to run simulations and prepare for data taking. You can find more information at the news item about SuperB. - T2K
The T2K experiment is based in Japan started taking data in January 2010 and uses the grid to transfer and analyse their datasets. There is more information in the T2K news item. - SNO+
SNO+, based in Canada, is investigating a wide range of physics related to neutrinos. They use GridPP to run simulations and analyse data. There is more information in the SNO+ news item.
