GridPP Deployment: Status
This page contains information and links to more information on GridPP deployment and operations status. Most of the references are to monitoring tools provided by the Grid Operations Centre.
Grid Information System
The LCG Grid Information System (GIIS) provides high-level information on each of the sites in the EGEE Grid. The colour coding in the columns and cells highlights the current status (within the last 10 minutes). Sites coloured in grey are currently down for scheduled maintenance. This is a good source of information for CPU and storage availability and use. At the top of the GIIS page is a summary for each site in the selected region. GridPP is part of the UK and Ireland (UKI) Regional Operations Centre (ROC) and therefore our sites appear in here in the UKI view.
Site functional tests
As part of the EGEE community, GridPP sites are subject to daily (and on demand) functionality tests which look at the performance of specific grid components. Such thing as current middleware release deployed, the ability to successfully complete
Weekly operations reports
Each week the United Kingdom & Ireland (UKI) region provides a status report to EGEE operations. These reports can be found linked to the appropriate operations meeting.
GridPP metrics
Within GridPP we are developing a series of metrics that provide information on changes to the service we are providing. The metrics are related to the GridPP project map and associated deliverables.
Quarterly reports
The GridPP Tier-2s provide a quarterly report on their status, issues and problems. These documents are available here for authorised collaboration members.
Service Challenge progress
WLCG has run a number of these challenges over the last few years and GridPP has contributed to each of them. Current activities can be found in the WLCG wiki.
